When I was in college, I was taking a public service course, but everything changed when they showed us their new building with an Esports room. The moment I saw it, I lit up. My teacher asked if I wanted to switch courses, and I took the opportunity without hesitation.
During college I fell deep into the world of Vtubers, especially the Hololive Verse. Their content supported me through my studies and inspired me to pursue VTubing and Virtual Production as a serious path. I loved the idea of creating stories and performances without being on camera, and how creators and agencies build entire worlds around their VTubers. This passion guided me to university, where I focused on Esports and broadcast production.
In university, I quickly became “the tech guy.” One project I remember clearly was running audio for a classmate. When one of their players couldn’t make it, the AV operator stepped in as the player, leaving me to handle both AV and audio. Despite the challenge, the stream ran smoothly.
I’ve gained experience using the TriCaster for NDI setups, Dante for networked audio, the SQ5 for mixing, and Madrix for lighting. Lately I’ve been expanding my skills for virtual production and developing my own VTuber brand.
My long-term dream is to collaborate with creators and agencies to help bring VTuber performances to life and make the scene even more recognized worldwide. VTubers influenced the path I’m on, and I want to help grow the space. When I’m not doing production work, I’m usually experimenting with virtual tools, planning my next setup, watching VTuber streams, or working on my own VTuber content.
